Fall into the Mid-Atlantic's Autumn Events

 Region is home to variety of colorful happenings

 
(U.S. Mid-Atlantic Region, September 13, 2012)  The air will soon be crisp and cool, and destinations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region will welcome visitors with harvest festivals, art and craft shows, fall cruises, leaf-peeping tours and other-worldly walks. Below is just a sampling of the fun that awaits visitors in to the Mid-Atlantic region. Delaware

 

Enjoy autumn's spectacular display of colors from an entirely different perspective aboard the Wilmington Western Railroad. Take a ride through the scenic Red Clay Valley aboard one of the country's oldest steam- and diesel-powered locomotives. Delaware's "official" wine and beer event - the Delaware Wine & Beer Festival is held annually on the third Sunday in October. Festival goers will meet Delaware's vintners, brewers, distillers, partake in samplings and wander the Fine Artisans Faire while experiencing Kent County, Delaware's changing autumn colors. Maryland

 

Leaf peepers will love Carroll County's Wine Trail! Enjoy beautiful foliage along with superb wine along back roads and in historic towns. Each winery will welcome you with charm, character, and delicious local and sustainable wines. Annual fall events include the Graw Days Festival, the Bel Air Festival for the Arts, Darlington Apple Festival, Film Festival and Colonial Craftsmen Weekend at Jerusalem Mill; plus First Fridays, Haunted History Tours, fall cruises and fall foliage programs at Ladew Topiary Gardens. Harford County,  harfordmd.com.
