FAMED FRENCH TOUR OF 71 SITES OF EXCEPTIONAL CULINARY TASTE OFFERED TO AMERICANS FOR THE FIRST TIME

02-05-2008

SITES PRESENT 71 OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNCOMMON EPICUREAN ADVENTURES

New York, NY - February 4th, 2008 - The French National Association of the
Sites of Exceptional Culinary Taste, Les Sites Remarquables du Goût, has
appointed Debra Fioritto and Kathryn Morton of French Food Travels as
exclusive USA representatives. Ms. Fioritto, a French Cuisine expert, and
Ms. Morton, a France travel specialist, will partner with Tour de Forks
(www.tourdeforks.com) to offer exclusive culinary tours to these Sites. Tour
de Forks is known for luxury culinary tours to less-travelled locations.

What is a Site of Exceptional Culinary Taste?
Located throughout France, these 71 Sites are dedicated to quality regional
products such as fleur de sel, seafood, fish, liqueurs, beer, wines,
legumes, olive oil, fruits, sweets and artisanal cheeses. There is often an
immediate association of place with product: Beaufort cheese; Saint-Emilion
wine; Guérande salt; Marennes oysters. This unbreakable bond between the
countryside, agriculture, food and local people has long given each region
and its landscape a unique, inseparable character. The economies of these
regions, which all have known periods of prosperity, have generated
exceptional traditions that are understood and protected. The local
residents fiercely guard the preservation of these rich traditions.

Suggestions for discovering the Sites of Exceptional Culinary Tastes
Excursions involving tastings, walking tours, visits, cooking classes,
dinners and activities are posted onthe Sites of Exceptional Culinary Taste website
(www.sitesremarquablesdugout.com). Original, exclusive itineraries
offered by Tour de Forks, and led by Ms. Fioritto and Ms. Morton
of French Food Travels, include regional trips to visit the Sites of
Exceptional Culinary Taste in Provence and Western France
(www.tourdeforks.com).

As winners of the Culinary Trust's Julia Child Endowment Fund Scholarship,
Ms. Fioritto and Ms. Morton continue to eat their way through France. Research for a book
dedicated to the Sites Remarquables du Goût led the two to its National Association in France.
"Our alliance with the Association and its director, Murielle Bousquet, began at
Versailles during a tasting of pear juice, yes pear juice, not wine, from the King's
Kitchen Garden, one of the Sites ofExceptional Culinary Taste. Now we work together,
exploring the Sites andunearthing the fantastic flavors of regional France," says
Ms Morton, aFrance travel specialist.  According to Ms. Fioritto, a French Food expert,
"the French have always respected and treasured their connection to the earth and its
products. Who else would have a party for lentils?"

According to Melissa Joachim, President of Tour de Forks, "A tour in June,

Michel Bras, Regis Marcon, and Les Frères Pourcel to round out the tour."
Melissa also remarked, "If you have a year, we can visit all 71 sites, but
for this tour you will visit 8 of the best Provence has to offer."

There are 71 Sites of Exceptional Culinary Taste located throughout France.
The famed Sites promote outstanding products and ingredients that flourish
in Frances¹s treasured terroir. They are organized into four categories:
products from the sea and rivers, products from the earth, wines and other
drinks, and sweets. The Sites offer a unique window into the sources of
France¹s well-respected reputation of high standards and quality products.
