They Also Ran: The Presidential Hopefuls: The office of the U.S. Presidency is the most coveted in the land, offering the highest recognition to those who claim the final victory. This exhibit, running from 12/2/12 - 01/27/13 at the Stauth Memorial Museum in Montezuma, KS is a fascinating look at American politics and the men who gave the presidents a run for their money. The show highlights military heroes who became candidates, incumbents who lost, and the fluctuating costs of running a campaign. 2012 Trout Season Opens in Kansas: The 2012 trout season opens November 1 in Kansas when select waters across the state will be stocked with trout for this popular winter fishing activity. More than 30 small lakes and several streams will receive trout stockings periodically between November 1 and April 15.
