Dashing Through The Snow, On A Zipline In Mountain Creek

12-12-2012

O'er the Hills We Go, Laughing All The Way...

Vernon, NJ (December 12, 2012) — As the snow starts to fall in the Vernon Valley region of New Jersey, non-skiers will rejoice in the fact that they can still experience the winter wonderland outside by going ziplining with Zoom Ziplines!  It is the perfect option for New Yorkers to get outside the confines of their apartments and head out into nature to enjoy the picturesque winter scenery that is only about one hour from midtown.

Zoom Ziplines is open throughout the winter season (they only close during heavy wind or heavy ice conditions) so those who might be accompanying a skiing spouse or friend to the Mountain Creek area, can plan a ziplining adventure for themselves as there are no special skills required!  Additionally skiers can also join in on the fun, missing the ski hill crowds by skiing in the morning and ziplining in the afternoon and still be home in time for dinner!  Other Mountain Creek area attractions include snow tubing, spa treatments, wine tasting, and more.

For those who want to experience the Zoom Ziplines' tour, they can get set for an adventure that takes from one-and-a-half to two hours, ziplining a total combined length of 3,760 feet.  There is a trainer line at the base of the mountain (line 1), which is approximately 200 feet long, followed by a ride up the mountain to the summit at 1,040 feet.  Participants then zip across three additional dual-ziplines (line 2 is 1,310 feet long; line 3 is 750 feet long, and line 4 is 1,500 feet long), cross a suspension bridge, and head back down the mountain. Zipliners can also rent a helmet-mounted video cam so that they can capture the amazing winter wonderland scenery as they are heading down the ziplines.  It's also a good idea for zipliners to wear warm winter clothing because they will be outside!

Ziplining at Zoom Ziplines costs just $79.99 for adults and $59.99 for children 13 and under and seniors 65 and over.  Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more and gift certificates are also for sale.  For the exact days of Zoom Ziplines' winter operations, please refer to the website.  They are open year-round and offer expanded hours 7 days a week throughout the summer.
