Machaca Hill Lodge on Belize’s exotic southern coast is offering guests packages ranging from three to seven nights in length and including up to six activities of their choice. Whether travelers select a three, five or seven-night package, each is inclusive of a welcome drink, three meals per day, hors d’oeuvres and local beverages including beer and rum, as well as an extensive list of adventure activities, from exploring ancient Mayan ruins and caves to kayaking the majestic Rio Grande.

Explorers can begin their day discovering the ancient culture of the region and the mysteries it holds with a voyage to one of the intricately constructed Mayan temples, including:

§         Lubantunn – Adventure-seekers can uncover the mystery of the Crystal Skull

§         Nim Li Punit – Individuals can explore the Plaza of the Royal Tombs, which was a residence for royalty from 700-800 AD

§         Maya Gold Village Tour – Guests can enjoy an introduction to the Mayan culture and language

 

Those seeking something more exhilarating can head deep into the Belizean jungle and embark on adventures both above and below sea level with the following activities:

§         Santa Cruz Falls – Thrill seekers can jump from the 20-foot cliffs into the deep pools of water below

§         Hokeb Ha Cave and Blue Creek Cave Adventure – Individuals can delve below the surface to explore the ancient Maya underworld

§         Jungle River Adventure – Guests can traverse the majestic Rio Grande by kayak and view the region’s large variety of wildlife

§         Snorkeling Tour – Travelers not satisfied with staying on top of the water can dive into the Caribbean Sea and experience the underwater world on a nearby reef

Packages range from three to seven nights in length. Rates are per person and are valid for travel through December 17, 2008.
