New York - February 13, 2013: Casa de las Olas, the 100% environmentally sustainable, five-suite guest house located at the serene southern end of Tulum beach, Mexico, along with Tulum's acclaimed Hartwood Restaurant is calling foodies, aspiring chefs and environmentalists alike to join in their second OH! Food Workshop in May.

 

From May 24-29, 2013, guests can join Casa de las Olas as it collaborates with Chef Eric Werner of Hartwood Restaurant and Celti Restaurant's Chef Claudia Perez in a three-day Yucatan-inspired cooking extravaganza, complete with five nights' accommodation in the serene Casa de las Olas. The workshop, held at Hartwood's entirely wood- and solar-operated outdoor kitchen, will focus on the restaurant's local farm-to-chef cuisine. The three cooking classes will offer a combination of delicious sustainable cooking alternatives and sustainable development practices, a lifestyle important to the beliefs--and existence--of both Tulum businesses.

 

The OH! Food Workshop includes:

  • Five nights' luxury beachfront accommodations at Casa de las Olas
  • Three days of Yucatan-inspired farm-to-chef cooking lessons led by Hartwood Restaurant Chef Eric and Celti Restaurant Chef Claudia
  • Unique and cultural lunch and dinner provided during each cooking lesson
  • Final five-course dinner overlooking the Caribbean with wine pairings by local sommelier Ricardo Garcia Gaxiola
