Palm Springs Restaurant Week Offers Diners Spectacular Culinary Delights

Palm Springs, Calif. – The Palm Springs Restaurant Association is excited to announce it will be hosting the cityÕs inaugural Restaurant Week June 15 to 20, 2008; an event that will bring even more eloquence and enchantment to the serene desert oasis. Successful Restaurant Week events in the Hamptons, Nantucket, and Newport have paved the way for the first Palm Springs Restaurant Week, a six day culinary event that allows food aficionados to experience and savor a delicious variety of food, wine and culture.

 

Sponsored by the Palm Springs Hospitality Association, American Express and more, Palm Springs Restaurant Week provides locals and visitors the opportunity to discover the cityÕs unique culinary talent and diverse selection of dining choices. The event will feature more than 40 of Palm SpringsÕ most talked about restaurants and offer three course, prix fixe menus for $26 or $36 per person depending on the restaurant (tax, beverage and gratuity not included).

 

This six-day culinary event promises to entice guests with specialty creations from one of AmericaÕs most elegant desert towns and caters to food and wine connoisseurs alike. Participating restaurants include Al Dente, CafŽ 285, Chez Philippe, Chop House, CopleyÕs on the Palm, Crazy Bones BBQ, Johannes, Kaiser Grille, La Casita Restaurant, LGÕs Prime Steakhouse, Look Palm Springs, Matchbox, Pomme Frite, Purple Palm, SpencerÕs Restaurant at the Mountain, The Falls Prime Steakhouse & Martini Bar, WangÕs in the Desert, Zin American Bistro and Zoso Hotel/eatZ.

 

According to the California Travel & Tourism Commission, California is currently the number one travel destination in the country and Palm Springs Restaurant Week is expected to bring diners from around the world. Designed to awaken the senses and stimulate the palate with fresh creations, Palm Springs Restaurant Week offers the opportunity to experience some of the finest food on the West Coast.

This spectacular six day event requires no tickets or passes, but advance reservations are strongly recommended. $1 from each dinner served during the week will be donated to Angel View, a nonprofit organization that supports physically and mentally challenged youth.
