Chicago - Québec City Flights Strating in June 2008
Very good news for the Québec City Area's tourism industry: United Airlines will be offering regular daily flights to and from Québec City starting on June 5, 2008. The city will now only be a two-hour direct flight (no stopovers) from Chicago, one of the main markets for the development of business and pleasure tourism in Québec City. This new flight meets the needs and expectations of industry stakeholders. Québec City Tourism, in collaboration with the ministère du Tourisme du Québec, will soon be carrying out a series of promotional and advertising activities to make business and tourist clients in the greater Chicago area well aware of the new flight. Québec City 2008
Québec City celebrates its 400th anniversary throughout the entire year. Unique cultural events will be held in the capital for the occasion, including the "Symphony of a Thousand", the monumental work by Gustav Mahler as played by Québec City's symphony orchestra (March 15) and Starmania Opéra, an opera version of the well-loved Quebec musical comedy (May 2008 - several dates). Travel agents and wholesalers can now purchase tickets to the Passengers Exhibition, another original production playing in 2008! (This form is ONLY for travel agents and wholesalers).

The great Franco Dragone's creative mind will bring the roofs and façade of the Musée de la civilisation museum to life. A spectacular show that will light up Québec City's old port! A blend of water, a talking well, an ever-present light and a lush, colourful garden, The Visionaries Garden will turn the museum into a true work of art. Between June 6 and October 13, 2008 as part of Québec City's 400th anniversary celebration.
