Utah’s Canyonlands: Four Days Four Ways

04-01-2013

For Immediate Release

Give Utah’s Canyonlands Four Days;
Play Four Ways with Moab Adventure Center

Moab, UT, April 1, 2013 - Moab Adventure Center suggests four ways to enjoy four days in a region of the world that has, over millennia, become a geological masterpiece. Bordering Moab to the north and west, Utah’s red rock fantasylands; Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park, offer time-challenged visitors an immersion course in geology and ancient cultures when they fling themselves into activities showcasing the region’s beauty and diversity.

Moab Adventure Center (MAC - http://www.moabadventurecenter.com/) is a one-stop-shopping, activities, reservations and information hub in this epicenter of outdoor recreation that’s also known as “the mountain biking capital of the world.” Half-day and longer adventures over land, through the air and in the water can be arranged in advance of or upon arrival in Moab, although it’s advised that lodging, also listed on the MAC website, be lined up in advance.

Here is how to spend four perfect days in Moab, Utah:

Day One – Arrive, unpack and head out on an early evening sunset hummer safari to get an off-road overview of the region.  This exhilarating 3-hour adventure leaves visitors in awe of both the one-of-a-kind 4x4 experience of driving over “slickrock” terrain and the astounding views that seem to go on forever in every direction.

Day Two – In the morning discover why people from around the world come here to experience rock climbing and canyoneering. This afternoon, cool off on a stand up paddle board tour on the calm waters of the Colorado River with each bend revealing towering red rock cliffs, multicolored sandstone domes or perhaps a band of deer drinking under the willows.

Day Three – Don your life jacket for a full day of rafting on one of the most popular stretches of the Colorado River, a scenic float through moderate rapids. The outing includes a riverside barbeque with time for swimming.

Day Four – Rising before the sun, a visit to Moab comes to an aerial climax with a Hot Air Balloon Sunrise Adventure floating over rugged canyons, fanciful rock towers and arches and soaring close to the ground as the balloon climbs over a sandstone butte to see the land drop off hundreds of feet below.

Moab Adventure Center guests receive a discount off each activity when packaging three or more select single-day adventures together. See http://www.moabadventurecenter.com/ for details.

Other land excursions include mountain biking and horseback riding. Jeep rentals can be arranged. Jetboating on the river is also an option.
