MYSTIC COUNTRY‰ ANNOUNCES POSTING OF PODCAST # 6:

02-15-2008

Mystic Country/CONNECTICUT, February 12, 2008: The Eastern Regional Tourism District has posted their sixth podcast in the series, launched in July 2007. Tune in and listen at www.mysticcountrypodcast.com or on iTunes, where it is posted along with destinations like Hawaii, Disney World and Italy as well as travel news sources and directories like National Geographic, AP Travel and FrommerÕs.

This newest podcast, titled ÒRomantic Winter Getaways in Mystic Country,Ó illustrates late winter in the region as one of the most romantic times for couples to visit. The throngs of vacationers are gone and visitors can have the quiet country roads and attractions pretty much to themselves. Whether you're staying at a romantic bed and breakfast, wandering a scenic byway, or enjoying one of the area's fine restaurants, the pace is more relaxed, and visitors can be, too.

In this program we share our favorite indoor activities that will help you beat the winter blues. Including a trip to one of the casinos, visiting Mashantucket Pequot Museum, catching a planetarium show at Mystic Seaport, exploring the USS Nautilus, immersing yourself in the discoveries of Dr. Robert Ballard at the Mystic Aquarium, making a getaway to the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, discovering a treasure at NatureÕs Art, viewing the newest exhibit at the Florence Griswold Museum, catching a show at The Garde Arts Theater or treating yourself to a massage at the Spa in the Woods.

We also interview Dave Labrie, innkeeper of the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina, who talks about some great couples getaways in one of the most scenic and romantic settings in all of New England.

The podcast continues on to promote some of the wonderful romantic packages offered during February including Mystic MarriottÕs ÒValentineÕs Day All Month Long,Ó Another Second PennyÕs ÒRomantic Rendezvous Package,Ó the ÒVintage ValentineÕs Package,Ó offered by Elias Childe House and TaylorÕs Corner B&B as well as the chocolate spa treatments being offered by the Spa at Norwich Inn.

Each business mentioned in the podcast also has a live link from the podcast page to their website. We encourage these businesses to provide a link on their websites to www.MysticCountryPodcast.com to help increase traffic and listenership. The podcast can also be found on iTunes, where listeners can subscribe to receive future Mystic Country podcasts and post reviews.
