Mount Hope Estate & Winery will host its sixth annual interactive, culinary "who-done-it" Murder Mystery Dinner Theater this February and March. Step into the mansion and the year is 1939. America finds itself gripped firmly by the calloused hands of The Great Depression. The American Paranormal Society (APS) has been reenergized by a shift in its mission and will use its considerable influence to help bring about a swift end to the downward economic spiral that has hobbled the American Dream and given rise to numerous opportunistic tyrants. The APS believes that the answers to today's problems lie in the past. Why read dusty, old books, when one can speak directly with those who lived it? This Depression can only be resolved with the help of those who survived comparable hard times in the past. It is time to call upon our ancestors for guidance.
The importance of this meeting cannot be overstated and tensions are running high. The members of the Board must defend their position to the naysayers. Some in attendance would like to reveal the medium as a fraud. The serving staff is typically tight-lipped, but could be hiding details of the evening.
The event's culinary experience begins with a Taste featuring a Sorbet Topped with Fresh Fruit Cup. Fresh Baked Rolls with Whipped Butter will accompany a Mélange of Tossed Mixed Greens with Assorted Vegetables and the Chef's Choice Dressing. The main course Debut of Chicken Kiev with a Medley of Roasted Fingerling Potatoes and Candied Baby Carrots with Dill will satisfy all appetites. The meal will conclude with a Confection of Caramel Cream Puff with a Raspberry Drizzle. A vegetarian and gluten free meal option is also available upon advanced request.
