A Weekend of Wine, Flowers and Romance: San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the Pacific Orchid Exposition

San Francisco, California - Love is in the air as the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the Pacific Orchid Exposition, come to Fort Mason Center this February.  Immediately following Valentine's Day, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Public Tasting offers the chance to taste hundreds of award winning wines, talk directly to winemakers and sample delicious foods. The Public Tasting will take place on Saturday, February 15th from 1:30-5 p.m. at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. There will be judges like Wilfred Wong from BevMo! and Jon Bonne, the wine critic from the San Francisco Chronicle, to help answer questions and enhance the pairing of wine and food experience. The next weekend, February 20-23, Fort Mason Center will open its doors to the largest orchid show in the United States, the 62nd Annual Pacific Orchid Exposition. Themed "Orchids...And All That Jazz", the Exposition features over 150,000 orchids from around the globe, displayed in colorful and eye-popping exhibits. Tickets to the Gala Night are $40 to $45; general show range from $10-$15 and kids 16 and under are free (except at the gala) when accompanied by an adult. www.orchidsanfrancisco.org
