Savor Sonoma Valley: 26 Wineries, Local Chefs & Barrel Wines, March 15 & 16
Sonoma Valley, California - Heart of Sonoma Valley Association (HOSVA) is geared up for their premier event of the year – Savor Sonoma Valley happening March 15 & 16 from 11 AM – 4 PM both days. Twenty-Six Wineries throughout Sonoma Valley will be showcasing barrel wines and sampling new releases paired with food creations prepared by local chefs. Meet winemakers, sample barrel wines, mingle with wine lovers in caves and on crush pads, enjoy live music, tour wineries, and savor a wonderful wine country weekend. Admission is $65 per person for a Weekend Pass, which includes a souvenir wine glass and access to event tastings at all participating wineries. Washington, D.C. - The 22nd annual Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital, March 18-30, presents over 200 documentary, narrative, animated, archival, experimental and children’s films selected to provide fresh perspectives on environmental issues facing Earth. Our Cities: Our Planet, a special Festival focus, will explore the challenges of the world’s urban environments as they strive to meet environmental and economic needs. The 2014 Festival features cinematic work from 38 countries and 115 Washington, D.C., United States and world premieres. Sustainable DC, a city-wide initiative to make Washington, D.C. the greenest, healthiest and most livable city in the nation, will be highlighted through films on the city’s Bikeshare program, green roofs and the DC sewer system with discussion by D.C. government officials, including Mayor Vincent Gray and Keith Anderson, Director of the District Department of the Environment. Films are screened at over 65 venues throughout the Washington metropolitan area, including museums, embassies, libraries, universities and local theaters. New Smyrna Beach 2014 Balloon & Sky Fest Bigger and Better Than Ever, March 28-30
New Smyrna Beach, Florida - The sixth annual New Smyrna Beach Balloon & Sky Fest, March 28-30 at the New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport, will be bigger, better, more exciting, and feature more to do and enjoy than ever before. It’s two nights and two days of all the family fun anyone can handle. New Smyrna Beach Balloon & Sky Fest 2014 again will feature world-class air shows with Aeroshell T-6 planes circling overhead to lead into the nighttime events. In addition to evening balloon glows, as many as 20 hot-air balloons will carry passengers aloft. Helicopter and airplane rides also will be available. Across the airfield, you will find live entertainment, carnival rides, a kid zone, a 4-H Animal Encounter and more. Admission is $10 per day for adults. Attendees are allowed unlimited free exit and re-entry each day. Children under 12 get in FREE, and so do all veterans with ID. Oldsmar’s 53rd Annual Oldsmar Days & Nights, March 28 to 30
Oldsmar, Florida - Oldsmar’s 53rd Annual Oldsmar Days event is scheduled for beautiful R.E. Olds Park Friday March 28 through Sunday March 30. The event features Oldsmar’s only parade on Saturday March 29 at 11 am. The parade will feature historic Oldsmobile’s, antique fire trucks and a contingent of Shriner’s.
