TourCrafters Offers Affordable Greek Island Cruise Packages

03-19-2014

Libertyville, IL, March 19, 2014—Spring is coming—yes, it really is—a  perfect time for a cruise of the Greek Islands.  TourCrafters has designed two affordable packages that combine two nights in Athens with  a 4-day Aegean cruise, each for less than $1,500..

The “Iconic Aegean” Package, which costs $1,405, includes two days in Athens,

with time to see the Acropolis and enjoy an evening of wine, dancing and bouzouki music in Plaka (an Athens by Night tour is part of the package), then a cruise that takes in the beautiful, jet-setty, blue and white island of Mykonos; lively Patmos, with its café-bars and the legendary Monastery of St. John the Theologian; Rhodes, where there’s a whole day to visit the medieval Old Town and the lovely white-washed village of Lindos; Crete, where there’s  time to glimpse Heraklion and the ruins of the Minoan Palace of Knossos; and famed Santorini with its photogenic cliffside villages overlooking the deep blue caldera.  In addition, the cruise detours to Turkey and the popular resort  Kusadasi, which is close to the ancient ruins at Ephesus. Departures are weekly through October.

The “Idyllic Aegean” Package, which costs $1,465, also starts in Athens and then cruises to the Greek islands of Syros, “Queen of the Cyclades;” Kos, with its beaches and mountain villages; Ios, the party island; and Santorini; with a detour to the Turkish resort town of Cesme.  Departures are weekly in July and August.

Both packages include arrival transfer, accommodation and daily breakfast in the 4-star modern and comfortable Hotel Airotel, Athens by Night tour, 4-day cruise with full board, unlimited beverages, port charges and gratuities.  Hotel upgrades are available.  Air fare Is not included.  All prices are per person, double occupancy and are subject to availability.

It should be noted that certain Louis cruise departures have “themes”—Greek cuisine, ouzo and wine, folk music and dancing (there’s that bouzouki music again), popular Greek music, archaeology and history—so be sure to ask.
