Big Island Film Festival - May 22 to 26

Now in its 9th year, the Big Island Film Festival at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai'i delivers unique entertainment, with free family films, daytime movies and nightly double features, screenwriting workshops and stellar social events. 
 
Kohala Coast, Hawaii (April 8, 2014) - The Big Island Film Festival (BIFF) rolls out May 22-26, 2014 at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai'i." Meet celebrity guests Jackson Rathbone of the “Twilight” series and Portia Doubleday from Oscar-winning film “Her” and “Carrie.” Kick back with Hawaii’s own Willie K in concert. Learn insider techniques from Hollywood screenwriters. Relax in a beach chair and enjoy movies under the stars, mai tai in hand. 
 
A celebration of narrative films and filmmaking, BIFF offers free family films at The Shops at Mauna Lani, daytime movies, filmmaker workshops, and nightly double features, and special room rates at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai'i. Final night "Best of the Fest" spotlights the Best Feature and Best Short Film of BIFF 2014 as voted by the audience during the festival, plus Na Hoku Hanohano winner Willie K in concert, and Silent Auction for Fisher House at Tripler Army Medical Center.
