|
Over 160 000 passengers and crew of some of the world’s most impressive cruise ships are expected in Québec City during the summer of 2014. Click here for their arrival and departure dates in Québec City before heading out to such varied destinations as Greenland and Florida! Don’t miss the opportunity to see one of these deluxe liners up close.
If you prefer, you can take a quiet cruise down the St. Lawrence River to admire the scenic view. Croisières AML is offering itsGrand River Cruises, during which you can take part in the many activities held on board the ship to learn more about local marine life, arts, history and gastronomy. Some of the Croisières AML packages include an overnight stay in Québec City. If you have the chance to watch a firework display from the middle of the river, take it! There is no better viewpoint than that!
You can also take a personalized tour of the St. Lawrence River with Excursions Maritimes Québec. Since 2006, this cruise company has been offering tours showcasing the history, marine life, ports, ecology and legends of the St. Lawrence. You can zip along the river, a mere 60 cm (2’) from the surface of the water, aboard a safe and certified Zodiac piloted by your guide. The speed of the boat and the subjects covered during the tour are yours to decide! An exciting way to explore the Québec City region, île d'Orléans and Portneuf.
If you would rather admire the St. Lawrence from dry land, you can go for a stroll or ride a bike along the Samuel-de-Champlain Boardwalk, which stretches some 2.5 km (1.9 miles) along both boulevard Champlain and the river.
