LEARN TO DIVE IN TWO DAYS!

03-24-2015

MALDIVES (March 24, 2015) - Always wanted to dive but reluctant to spend four days of vacation learning? Taking the plunge just got a whole lot easier with Four Seasons Resorts Maldives, where the new ‘Learn to Dive’ package – in conjunction with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) eLearning – sees beginners certified in just two days.

The resorts’ vastly experienced dive staff help guests complete the theory part of the PADI Open Water Course online in the comfort of their home prior to their arrival; they can then undertake the practical part of the course at the resort in just two days... leaving two extra days to spend on the beach or with the turtles, mantas, sharks and napoleans that reside in the mesmerising Maldivian waters.

Four Seasons PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centers are the only resort-operated centers in the Maldives, guaranteeing the company’s exemplary service standards both above and below the waves. Beginners will encounter no stress, no heavy equipment to carry, no group classes and no pool dives – just relaxed, private courses run by consummate professionals in safe, shallow lagoons.

Each dive center is located within steps of warm, fish-filled lagoons and offers the full spectrum of PADI courses: from the Seal Team programme of Aqua Missions for children aged 8 and above, through to Master Scuba Diver, the highest non-professional ranking in the PADI system.

Diving in the Maldives

With thila and channel diving, vibrant coral gardens, abundant fish life, great visibility and warm waters years round, the Maldives is one of the world’s top diving destinations. Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa is within five to 45 minutes of 30 excellent dive sites, accessed via a traditional, customised dhoni. Highlights include the renowned manta ray cleaning station at Sunlight Point (sightings from May to November) and the exciting 110-metre long wreck of the cargo freighter, Maldives Victory.

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru’s isolated location in the remote Baa Atoll places guests in close proximity to many virgin dive sites, including over 30 unspoilt coral gardens. It is also just 20 minutes by speedboat from Hanifaru Bay – one of the world’s top hotspots for mass groups of manta rays and whale sharks (June to October).

Valid from now to December 20, 2015, ‘Learn to Dive’ includes:

  • Four-night luxurious accommodation
  • Round trip airport transfer (by speedboat to Kuda Huraa and seaplane to Landaa Giraavaru)
  • Daily buffet breakfast for two
  • PADI Open Water Dive Course for one person (additional guests can join at preferential rates)

‘Learn to Dive Package’ requires a minimum of four nights’ stay at either Resort. The four- night package at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa starts from $4,250. The four-night package at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru starts from $5,250. The rates are subject to 10% service charge and all applicable taxes.
