~Golf Voyages on the Globe’s Largest Private Yacht Include Travel to Europe, Middle East and Asia~

 

Miramar, FL, February 27, 2008 – The World, the only private residential community at sea, is welcoming golf enthusiasts to participate in their destination 2008 Golf Voyages.  These one-to-two week journeys include luxurious accommodations, dining and three to five rounds of golf.  By sailing aboard The World, participants will have access to country clubs and courses of distinction all over the globe, as well as little-known, yet world-class courses.  In 2008, golfers can choose from Voyages in destinations including Europe, the Middle East and The Americas.   

Highlights of The World’s 2008 Golf Voyages are as follows:

·         Oman to the United Arab Emirates, March 21 – 30: For this week-long voyage, Residents and Guests will begin their golf outing teeing off at Oman’s Abu Dhabi Golf Club.  In Dubai, golfers will play the Dubai Creek Golf Club, the Nad Al Sheba Golf Club and The Montgomerie course.  Voyage starts at $6,750 per person, based on double occupancy plus $750 per guest for golf outings .

·         Mumbai, Cochin and Chennai, India, April 10 – 21: In India, golfers will enjoy a round at the prestigious Mumbai Presidency Golf Club and experience the Cochin Golf Club in the picturesque mountain city of Cochin.  Participants will end their Indian Golf Voyage at Chennai’s Cosmopolitan and Gymkhana Golf Clubs.  Voyage starts at $8,800 per person, based on double occupancy plus $750 per guest for golf outings.

·         Turkey to Greece, May 30 – June 11: During the vessel’s visit to Turkey, golfers will experience the Hodja Lakes Golf Course in Mersin, the Gloria Golf Club Belek in Alanya as well as the Antalya and National Golf Clubs in Antalya and Fethiye’s Nobilis Golf Club.  In Greece, players will enjoy a round at the Afandou Golf Club in the medieval city of Rhodes, a World Heritage Site.  Voyage starts at $9,600 per person, based on double occupancy plus $750 per guest for golf outings.

·         Croatia to Italy, August 13 – 24:  For this 11-day Golf Voyage, participants will enjoy rounds on some of Venice’s prized courses, such as the Circolo Golf Venezia, Golf Club Venedig Alberoni and the Golf Club Villa Condulmer.  Voyage starts at $9,625 per person, based on double occupancy plus $750 per guest for golf outings.

·         Italy, September 17 – October 2: For two weeks, golfers will delight in five rounds of golf throughout the stunning port towns of Italy including Rome’s famed Golf Parco de Medici course, the Golf Club Acquabona in Portoferraio, Portofino’s Golf Club Arenzano Genua and the Circolo Golf Degli Ulivi in San Remo.  Voyage starts at $12,750 per person, based on double occupancy plus $750 per guest for golf outings.

·         Monaco, France and Spain, October 4 – 18: This Golf Voyage begins with a round on the Royal Mougins Golf Course in Monte Carlo followed by visits to the renowned Monte Carlo Golf Course and Cannes Mandelieu Golf Club.  Passengers will continue on to Corsica for a round on the remote Golf de Spirone course and Toulon for a round on the Golf de Valcros course before wrapping up the voyage in Barcelona on the Club De Golf Costa Brava course.  Voyage starts at $12,250 per person, based on double occupancy plus $750 per guest for golf outings.
