BALD EAGLE-WATCHING TOURS AT THE RESORTS AT CRYSTAL SPRINGS

02-29-2008

New Jersey’s Premier Resort Complex Offers Exclusive, Guided Bald Eagle-Watching Tours

VERNON, NJ, February 28, 2008 – Starting March 8th and every Saturday thereafter this month, The Resorts at Crystal Springs will give guests the exclusive opportunity to observe bald eagles as they winter along the Delaware River.  On-site naturalist Dennis Miranda will lead guided day tours from The Resorts at Crystal Springs to designated eagle-watching observation blinds in nearby Glen Spey at the Mongaup Reservoir in New York.  The Resorts at Crystal Springs offers the personalized hiking tours, along with roundtrip transportation and lunch, as part of a package to be booked with overnight accommodations or as a stand-alone activity for guests at luxury properties Minerals Resort & Spa and the new Grand Cascades Lodge.

“Bald eagle-watching is a thrilling way to observe nature in action,” said Naturalist Dennis Miranda.  “The Resorts at Crystal Springs is ideally situated in a thriving natural environment that is a close drive from many major cities; thus we have created this hiking tour, extending a rare opportunity to view wintering bald eagles to our guests.”

According to informed volunteers at the Eagle Watching Insitute, the number of bald eagles wintering along the Delaware River has doubled in recent years, from 99 in 2006-2007 to nearly 200 in 2007-2008.  Guests of northern New Jersey’s only four-season resort are invited to witness the majestic creatures with the following package:
