"Dirty Elopement" Packages in New England This Spring

03-05-2008

Couples Save Money and Avoid Stress During the Region’s Mud Season

North Hampton, NH (March, 2008) – As the stress and cost of planning a formal wedding continue to rise, eloping is rapidly gaining favor among brides-to-be as a practical – yet still romantic – option:  it saves money, hassle, time, and includes the honeymoon all in one trip.  This Spring, several members of the New England Inns and Resorts Association are offering couples unique “dirty elopement” packages that provide deeply-discounted prices, the opportunity to enjoy the region’s beauty with fewer crowds, and the freedom to customize their nuptials with a variety of playful amenities and “dirty” twists.

Available during the region’s self-proclaimed fifth season, affectionately termed “mud season” to represent the time period from late-March to mid-May when ice and snow from the mountains begins to melt and turns New England into a muddy playground, couples can take advantage of these pre-packaged weddings with just one click on the association’s website, www.NewEnglandInnsandResorts.com.

Comprised of nearly 300 of the finest inns, resorts, hotels and B&Bs in the region, the New England Inns and Resorts Association offers a wide range of accommodations to suit any budget.  The “dirty elopement” packages provide distinctly different wedding solutions for any couple’s style, from mud baths and mudslides to mud-covered wedding sites and mud-themed reception menus.  Sample packages include:

  • Muddy Marriage Madness (The Spa at Norwich Inn, Norwich, CT) – Starting at $1,500 per couple, including:
