Tickets on sale for the final round of Slice, Dice & Spice, NY

THE HEAT IS ON!

 

- A New York Pro-Am Chef Challenge -

 

 

Who/What:      It’s the hottest ticket around -- Slice Dice & Spice NY – A tourism initiative event highlighting the culinary and agricultural assets of the Finger Lakes Region, including the people and food producers in Ontario, Wayne and Livingston Counties, the Canandaigua Wine Trail and the New York Wine & Culinary Center.

 

The Iron-Chef like competition will take place during National Tourism Week, May 12 – 15, 2008. Participating chefs include: Bryan Garrison - Brown Hound Bistro,  Ryan Abbey - Geneva on the Lake, Ian McBride - Big Tree Inn, Tim Stephens - Pultneyville Grill, Eric Mueller – Warfield’s, Greta Pagorek - The Vines @ Naples Hotel, Brian Simmons - The Yard of Ale, Dominick Dardano - Casa de Pasta. Chefs will be teamed with local media celebrities and area dignitaries. Guest judges will also participate.

 

The teams will compete using the Finger Lakes Regions’ finest culinary assets. Teams will be asked to create a meal using common market basket ingredients plus one secret ingredient. All of these will be products of the region from local farmers and food producers. Wine pairings will be made from wines from the wineries on the Canandaigua Wine Trail.

 

 

When:             Finals – Thursday, May 15, 2008

                        4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the New York Wine & Culinary Center

Canandaigua, NY

Price/Availability:      Tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door.

                                    Price includes over 30 tasting stations, live music, awards

                                    ceremony and Cutco Cutlery door prizes.
