Fishing and Cooking at Crocodile Bay Resort

COSTA RICA—This summer, Crocodile Bay Resort and Doug Buck's Cast-Away Adventures are offering a Costa Rica Cooking Adventure from May 26 to June 2, 2008. This six day, seven night package also features three afternoon sessions with Chef Jonathan Landeen and a one day fishing excursion in the stunning waters of the Golfo Dulce, near Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica for only $2350 per person (based on double occupancy).

Tucson chef Jonathan Landeen will share his culinary knowledge with guests on a journey through the local Costa Rican cuisine. Local food and wine will be highlighted in this unique opportunity to learn from master chef Landeen, chef and owner of Jonathan's Cork, a Tucson tradition since 1966, when it was known as the Cork and Cleaver. He trained in New Orleans with celebrity chef Paul Prudhomme, and recently won the Southern Arizona Chef of the year award. His hobbies include fishing and wine collection, making him the perfect choice for this fishing and cooking adventure.

This trip is hosted by Doug Buck's Cast-Away Adventures, a self-proclaimed "fishing fun travel planner." Doug Buck is an accomplished fly fishing instructor, and will be on site and on board to guide guests to the catch of their choice, whether offshore (common species include sailfish; Striped, Blue or Black Marlin; Dorado; and Tuna) or inshore (common species include Roosterfish; Cubera Snapper; Jack Cravalle; Bluefin Trevally and more.)

The all-inclusive package includes round-trip ground transfers from San Jose to the airport/hotel; round trip air transfers from San Jose to Crocodile Bay Resort; lodging at Crocodile Bay Resort; all meals at the resort, including beer, wine, local liquor and soft drinks; one day on board a fishing boat, including fuel, gear, guide and fishing license; resort credit to use toward a full day eco-tour or a half day eco-tour and a spa treatment; lodging in San Jose on arrival and departure (if needed.). International airfare to Costa Rica, meals in San Jose, gratuities and additional fishing days are not included in the price. Crocodile Bay Resort is a first class resort adjacent to some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches on the Osa Peninsula - which was described by National Geographic as "the most ecologically intense place on earth." Crocodile Bay Resort is firmly established in the upper echelon of world-class fishing resorts and has been home to several ESPN tournaments, including the celebrity Sport Fishing classic.
