June 8, 2008 – FIFTH ANNUAL PINOT & PAELLA COOK-OFF, TEMPLETON.  The Pinot and Paella Cook-Off features 16 great chefs and 12 Paso Robles Pinot Noir producers.  San Luis Obispo County’s best chefs will compete with unique Paella recipes, paired with wine from more than a dozen Paso Robles Pinot Noir producers from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Community Park in Templeton.  The Cook-off will showcase the Spanish beat, paella, live music and dance.  A live auction will feature large format collectors bottles filled with a one-of-a-kind Paso Pinot blend.  Also featured will be Latin dance music and a Salsa dance exposition.  (805) 239-2565.  www.PinotandPaella.com.

June 20-21, 2008 – ATASCADERO WINE FESTIVAL & GOLF TOURNAMENT.  The 13th annual festival includes a golf tournament at Chalk Mountain Golf Course, winemakers’ dinner, wine tasting in Atascadero Lake Park, fine arts festival, live music by the Mighty Croon Dogs, auction, and FREE admission to Charles Paddock Zoo.  Admission: $30 in advance/$35 at the door.
