(Los Angeles, CA. – May 6, 2008) – This summer, jet on over to LAX’s premiere hotel for “JetSet Sundays” – a weekly poolside event beginning May 25,th and lasting through the summer. Guests can lounge around Sheraton Gateway’s refreshing, sparkling blue pool and elegant cabanas while enjoying tantalizing tastes, inspired cocktails and eclectic tunes from local DJs like Jean Louis from Louis XIV and Sugar Ant Invasion.
With no cost for entry and tantalizing selections from Executive Chef Thomas Moran’s menu, Gateway will be this summer’s best spot for people-watching and tasty cuisine. Vintage, palate-pleasing delights such as ice cream bars and cones will also be served liberally from the "Good Humor Truck." "JetSetters" can channel the skies with fitting cocktails such as the "Jet Blue," a blend of Absolute Citron, fresh lemonade and blue Curacao; "747," an infusion of Stoli Citrus, Sprite, lime and pineapple juices; and the "Red Eye,” a combination of Bacardi O, Triple Sec, lime and cranberry juices. And to keep JetSetting guests returning, cocktails will be updated weekly.
Chef Moran’s menu, which will change weekly, will include exotic treats such as a Brazilian Steak Sandwich and Lime Jumbo Shrimp with Avocado Chili Sauce ("From the Grill"), as well as delectable offerings such as a Roasted Corn Salad and Grilled Eggplant with Sesame and Soy ("From the Farm Stand").
