Verdur Rock: Namur is the host of this annual free Rock Festival and competition. In its 24th year, Verdur Rock is the oldest festival in French-Speaking Belgium. The competition welcomes newcomers, non-professional rock, pop, electro bands and their fans. Verdur Rock will be held on June 28th at the Verdure Theater at the Citadelle of Namur. The Year of Folon: 2008 is the year of Folon and from April 25th to September 28th, 2008, several exhibitions of his work will be held throughout Brussels and French-speaking Belgium. Known for his cover-page drawings and illustrations in the New Yorker, Folon's work includes aquarelles, paintings, sculptures and other media, with 300 works permanently exhibited at the Foundation Folon, located in La Hulpe.
