KEMPINSKI HOTEL SUZHOU OPENING

May 19, 2008;  Kempinski Hotel Suzhou welcomed its first guests yesterday. The hotel’s opening was marked with a grand celebration attended by over 250 guests, which included high ranking Suzhou government officials, Mr. Reto Wittwer, President and CEO of Kempinski,
and Mr. René Schmitt, President China for Kempinski. The Opening
Ceremony was followed by a splendid luncheon for all guests.

Kempinski Hotel Suzhou is set amidst a large estate which encompasses a
27-hole Jinji Lake International Golf Course and a state guesthouse of
five villas. The hotel is surrounded by the stunning scenery of Dushu
and Jinji Lake, and is located 270 km from Shanghai’s Pudong
International Airport and 120 km from Hongqiao Airport. Hirsch Bedner
Associates was commissioned for the interior design of the hotel.

The hotel features 381 luxurious rooms and 77 spacious suites on 21
storeys, most of them overlooking either the lakes or the golf course.
All rooms offer modern amenities and necessities for business
travellers; wireless LAN is available throughout the property. The
meetings and banqueting facilities include the largest grand ballroom in
Suzhou covering 1,850 m2 and catering for up to 1,600 guests, eight
meeting rooms starting from 100 m2 in size, and a state-of-the-art
business centre.

Extensive dining options include a large Chinese restaurant and an
all-day dining restaurant with international cuisine. A Japanese
specialty restaurant and a Paulaner Bräuhaus on two levels, serving
traditional German meals and fine beers with live entertainment, will
open in October. The stylish Panorama Cigar & Wine Bar invites one to
unwind and enjoy the breath-taking views over Jinji Lake, and is also
due to open in October.

The Health & Recreation Centre currently features a state-of-the-art
gym, an exercise and aerobics room, a 50 m indoor swimming pool, and
indoor tennis and squash courts. The extensive spa facilities set to
open towards the end of 2008 will include Jacuzzi, sauna and steam
rooms, and a wide range of therapeutic spa treatments will be offered.

From 1 June to 31 August 2008, guests can enjoy a deluxe room for
single or double occupancy, including breakfast, at a special opening
rate of RMB 1288 + 15% per room (approx. USD 184), per night, subject to
availability.
