PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS (May 20, 2008) – Atlantis, Paradise Island in The Bahamas, named one of Parents magazine’s “Top Ten Beach Resorts For Families,” is offering a 50 percent discount for a limited time at its newest luxury tower, The Reef Atlantis, in celebration of World Ocean Day.  The recently-opened 497-key tower offers guests home-like accommodations and amenities – with the beach as a backyard – while instigating conservation and protection of the world’s oceans through The Blue Project^SM, a non-profit fund for coral reef conservation and restoration efforts.

The Reef Adventure is a unique snorkeling or SCUBA in-water interaction program available directly from the resort in partnership with Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas.  A beach-loading vessel with an on-board Atlantis Aquarist will take guests on an underwater exploration of both healthy and endangered reefs, and teach them about indigenous marine animals.  A maximum number of 24 guests participate in each 90-minute Reef Adventure, departing daily at 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at a cost of $55 for snorkeling, with $5 from each booking going directly to The Blue Project^SM.  However, guests of The Reef World Ocean Day package will receive a 50 percent discount on this signature excursion, with the price already built into the $369* package rate.
