For readers in the northwest, Pender Island is reached via BC Ferries with regular car service from Tsawwassen (two-hour crossing) and Swartz Bay (forty-minute crossing).  Scheduled floatplane service is also available from Vancouver, and with Kenmore Air from Seattle.
