TourCrafters Offers Package to Undiscovered Italy

05-30-2008

Libertyville, IL, May 29, 2008 — Two of Italy's emerging tourism destinations—Le Marche, often described as the new Tuscany, and Puglia, the sunny southern heel of the boot—have been combined in TourCrafters' land-only Eastern Coast driving package that starts as low as $469 for nine days and eight nights and is valid until December 15. These beautiful and welcoming regions, still untrodden by the tourist hordes, provide sensational beaches, quaint villages, medieval castles and churches and wonderful food and wine—a perfect vacation for a couple or for the whole family.

TourCrafter's package provides four nights accommodation in Le Marche's Casa Oliva, either in an apartment sleeping four, or in a hotel room for two, plus four nights in Puglia's Corte Altavilla, in either an apartment for four or a hotel room for two.  The price, per person in a double room, is $667 until July 14 and after September 15, and $729 from July 15 to September 14.  The price per person in a four-person apartment is $469 until July 14 and after September 15, and $520 from July 15 to September 14.  Prices include nine days car rental, daily buffet breakfast, service charges and taxes, a free spa course during special periods, and discounts for  children.

The Casa Oliva is a medieval fortified village and palace in Bargni, between Urbino and Pesaro, that has been turned into a hotel with rooms and apartments that are all air-conditioned and have TV and a swimming pool.  It is conveniently close to the beaches of the Adriatic Riviera, the cultural and artistic center of Urbino with its magnificent Renaissance Ducal Palace, the independent Republic of San Marino and the famous Frasassi Caves.

Corte Altavilla is a collection of medieval houses that have been converted into a charming 4-star hotel with air-conditioned rooms and apartments and a highly-regarded restaurant in the town of Conversano, near Bari.  From there it is possible to visit the coast's shimmering  beaches, Trani's beautiful cathedral, the beehive-shaped trulli houses of Alberobello, the white town of Ostuni, and the marvelously Baroque town of Lecce.

All prices quoted are per person, are subject to availability and change due to currency fluctuations. Reservations must be paid for within 72 hours of booking.  For additional information about the Eastern Coast and other good-deal packages, visit www.tourcrafters.com.  For reservations, call 800-482-5995
