What's Cooking?
As Copenhagen's culinary reputation continues to grow (eleven Michelin-starred restaurants, more than any other city in the Nordic region!) so does the reputation of the annual Copenhagen Cooking food festival. Now in its fourth year, Copenhagen Cooking invites everyone from fanatical foodies to nibblers and noshers to experience the best of Danish cuisine. Look for food sampling, wine tasting (yes, Denmark is a wine-producing nation), and cooking instruction, all with an emphasis on fresh, locally produced ingredients. Special attractions include the eat 08 food and lifestyle event at the Øksnehallen exhibition center, visits to the Avedøre vineyard and a cooking competition at Tivoli Gardens. Copenhagen Cooking runs August 22-31.
