ALASKA, ICELAND, AND TUNISIA

Fort Washington, PA - September 25, 2008 -- With nearly 30 years of experience in giving "More of the World for Less," Gate 1 Travel kicks off its 2009 travel season with the debut of three new destinations: Alaska, Iceland, and Tunisia!

According to Marty Seslow, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Gate 1 Travel, "Our company's loyal customers and travel agents have been asking us to expand our signature service of affordable vacations around the world to destinations that offer a sense of exploration and discovery. As a result, we have three new tours for 2009 which will no doubt satisfy those with a thirst for adventure!"

All three tours offer a unique small-group experience, with a maximum of 20 people per departure.

8-DAY ALASKAN ADVENTURE

While most Alaska trips are via ship, Gate 1 Travel is offering an exciting land adventure to Alaska in 2009. Participants will spend 1 night in Anchorage, 2 nights in Denali National Park, 1 night in Palmer, and 3 nights in Girdwood. Highlights include a scenic train ride to Denali aboard the Alaskan Railroad, an in-depth visit to Denali National Park, the opportunity to meet with local Eskimos and Athabaskan Indians, and an aerial tramway ride to Alyeska Resort's 2,300-foot observation deck.

There are four scheduled departure dates in 2009: May 17, June 28, August 23, and September 6. This trip is priced from $2,399 air and land (per person based on double occupancy) if booked by December 12, 2008 or from $2,699 if booked thereafter depending upon date of travel. The price does not include airport taxes, fees, September 11th security fee, optional tours, and tips to the tour manager.

8-DAY ICELAND ADVENTURE

What could be more adventurous than a tour to Iceland? Mother Nature is at her most impressive here and participants will have the opportunity to visit Skaftafell National Park, take a boat tour of Jökulsarlon glacial lagoon, enjoy a full-day excursion to Snaefellsnes peninsula, and make an extended visit to the Blue Lagoon. Optional tours include a Glacier Snowmobile Tour.

There are five departures for this tour in 2009: May 15, June 5, July 10, August 7, and September 4. The tour is priced from $2,579 land and air (per person based on double occupancy) if booked by December 12, 2008 or from $2,779 if booked thereafter and depending upon date of departure. Adventure and exploration are here for the taking for those who join Gate 1 Travel's 11-day Tunisia tour. The tour features stays in Tunis, Tabarka, Tozeur, Djerba, Sousse, and Hammamet and highlights include visits to the ancient ruins of Carthage, the Bardo and Dar Cherait Museums, and the island of Djerba. Optional tours include an excursion via camelback!

There are 14 departures for this tour in 2009: January 15, February 12 and 26, March 19 and 26, April 2 and 23, May 14 and 21, June 4, October 15 and 29, November 19, and December 24. The tour is priced from $1,999 land and air (per person based on double occupancy) if booked by December 12, 2008 or from $2,199 if booked thereafter and depending upon date of departure.
