During First Ever Farm to Feast Week, Regional Restaurants Dishing Up Local Coastal Cuisine

10-24-2008

Virginia Beach restaurant joins four regional restaurants offering $30 3-course meals with local harvest

(Virginia Beach, Va., October 23, 2008) –  The flair of a destination, its history, culture and livelihood can be captured in one single incredible meal that leaves a distinct impression in your mind long after its flavor has melted on your taste buds. In Virginia Beach, Coastal Cuisine is our forte, but it’s not just about the seafood. With miles of farmland nestled throughout the city, agriculture is one of the top industries in Virginia Beach, which means that the local chefs are serving the freshest of local produce alongside their signature dishes.

From October 26 – 30, the region’s best local farms and chefs will showcase their seasonal menus and fresh food during the first ever Farm to Feast Week. Throughout the week, local chefs will put together a 3-course menu featuring the best season’s offerings. A 3-course meal will be offered at each restaurant on a specific night for $30.

Five restaurants, including one in Virginia Beach, will be participating in the Farm to Feast Week. Croc’s 19th Street Bistro, The Boot, Comfort, Stove in Port Norfolk, and Vintage Kitchen will be offering their specialties designed to delight the taste buds. Each restaurant will be featuring their 3-course meal on one night only. Guests must call the individual restaurant for reservations.
