Opening René Magritte Museum, coming June 2^nd, 2009

Magritte is the most important 20th century Belgian painter and one of the ten most famous painters in the world. The new museum will be housed in the restored, neo-classical hotel Altenloh in Brussels, boasting the largest collection of items in the world related to Magritte: artwork, archival records, letters, photographs, drawings, posters and films. Opening M Leuven, September 20th 2009

The autumn of 2009 will see the reopening of the M Leuven museum. Highlight of the festival year 2009 is the major exhibition ‘Rogier van der Weyden, ca. 1400-1464 - Master of Passions’.The exhibition showcases masterpieces by van der Weyden and his contemporaries on loan from prestigious European and North American collections.
