FOOD & WINE TRAILS DISCOUNTS 2009 WINE-CRUISES BY UP TO $1000 A PERSON

Santa Rosa, CA, January 5, 2009 - Food & Wine Trails, the nation's largest provider of winery-hosted cruises, has announced discounts and cruise credits of up to $1000 per person for their 2009 series.

F&WT is owned by Larry Martin, chosen this year by Conde Nast Traveler magazine as the World's Top Wine-Tour Travel Specialist.  "Wine comes in all prices," says Martin, "but wine-travel has traditionally only been expensive. Our programs offer an alternative, taking enthusiasts to some of the world's best wine regions at reasonable prices. However, because peoples travel budgets have become even more limited, weve now either dropped our prices or are offering onboard cruise credits."

F&WT has lowered prices by $1000 per person for new bookings on five cruise departures: The June 24 to July 4 Best of Long Island Cruise hosted by Paumanok Vineyards and Wolffer Estate, the July 4 to July 14 cruise with Franciscan and Simi wineries, the July 14 to July 25 cruise hosted by Napa Valley's Silenus Vintners, Robert Mondavi's cruise on September 4 to 16, and the October 5 to 17 cruise hosted by Alexander Valley's White Oak Vineyards & Winery.  This reduces the entry cost of a Food & Wine Trails wine-cruise to $2349 plus tax per person, including airfare, compared to a $6000 cost for a similar-length, land-based program.

Cruises sponsored by Chateau St. Jean and St. Supery Vineyards & Winery in April will receive a $500 onboard cruise credit.  The cruises sailing in May that are hosted by Matanzas Creek Winery and Arrowood Vineyards & Winery and the Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP) will receive a $300 cruise credit.

All programs are on the smaller cruise-lines of Oceania, Windstar, Silversea and Regent. Each departure includes the normal trappings of a deluxe cruise, such as gourmet meals, deluxe accommodations and nightly entertainment. But unique to Food & Wine Trails, they also include private tastings, seminars and winemaker dinners, as well as optional tours and lunches at top wine estates.
