Boulder, Colorado (January 2009) – The number of US citizens currently living in Mexico has grown by 500% in the past 10 years to over 1 million (above the radar) according to the State Department, and shows no sign of slowing down. The number of US citizens traveling to Mexico exceeds 20 million each year, making it the number one tourist destination for the past four years running according to the Office of Travel & Tourism Industries. Baby-boomer “gringos” coming of retirement age are departing their home grounds from all parts of North America and are setting up new homes on the Baja Peninsula, mainland Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula. MexicoXpatz® Digital Magazine is the quarterly online magazine that addresses this rapidly growing trend.

MexicoXpatz was conceived by Pam Stone, a professional marketing and public relations executive and award-winning designer. The intoxicating experience of growing up in the Guadalajara and Lake Chapala area of Jalisco with extensive travel throughout the region instilled a passion for Mexico in Pam that she felt had to be shared. MexicoXpatz is the culmination of that desire. Boasting an impressive advisory board of Frontier Airlines co-founder Bob Schulman; former Frontier Airlines Sr. Manager, Leisure Sales and founder of AnaMar Solutions Jess Bautista; Martin Gonzalez, Director, Mexico Board of Tourism, Houston and Founder and CEO of Global Ventures LLC, Peggy Worthington, the magazine will be distributed initially on-line and is targeted to launch shortly thereafter in print format for distribution to travel and tour agencies, luxury resorts in Mexico, booksellers Barnes & Noble, Borders, Hastings and other newsstands.

The quarterly publication will guide readers through the cities and villages of Mexico and will share the romantic, intoxicating experiences through beautifully-designed, well-informed content devoted to a remarkable country, passionate travelers and “wanna-be” xpatz. Noted journalists and Mexico experts will share their knowledge of hotels, restaurants, nightlife, history, local interests and the overall scene on a location-by-location basis. Information about purchasing second homes, relocation, real estate issues and trends and healthcare will be available to subscribers.

Consumer subscription rate is $14.99 per year. Advertisers should contact Karen Rasmussen 949.230.7065. Visit www.mexicoxpatz.com for more information.
