Oak Creek, WI USA – The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) kicked off its annual online auction of travel experiences today, which is found at www.satwauction.com and is open only through November 17. Once available exclusively to Society members, the annual travel auction is now open to the general public. It features more than 100 unique travel experiences, which will be sold online to the highest bidder. Items being auctioned at were donated SATW members.
“Bidding at the auction is a great way to pick up a great holiday gift for that someone special,” said SATW President Laura Daily.
According to Daily, there are more than $110,000 worth of travel experiences on the auction block. Bidders will have the opportunity to make offers on everything from a week on a tropical island paradise in the Maldives, to hot air ballooning in Virginia, exploring the Amazon, or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
