World Baseball Classic packages available now through Tourism Toronto from $205

TORONTO (February 10, 2009) – A block of tickets is available through specially priced packages at www.WBCTorontoPackages.com for fans travelling to Toronto to watch the World Baseball Classic at Rogers Centre this March 7 through 11. This limited block is on sale now for fans coming for a weekend of excitement and entertainment as Toronto hosts the first games between Team Canada, Team USA, Team Italia, and Team Venezuela.

World Baseball Classic packages include one night accommodation, breakfast for two and 100 level game tickets - all starting from $205 per couple. The special packages are available through Tourism Toronto at www.WBCTorontoPackages.com or 1-800-499-2514.

World Baseball Classic, the premier international baseball tournament sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation played its inaugural event in March 2006 with 16 teams representing the greatest baseball-playing nations in the world. Toronto is the only Canadian city chosen to host the quadrennial event along with other top destinations such as Tokyo, Mexico City, San Juan, San Diego, and Miami. The WBC Championship game will be played on March 21 through 23 in Los Angeles.

Fans planning a powerhouse sports weekend should also catch:
