NISBET PLANTATION BEACH CLUB OFFERS RESORT CREDIT UP TO $500

02-18-2009

TOP CARIBBEAN LUXURY HOTEL

NEVIS, West Indies — 2009 represents the fifth consecutive year Nisbet Plantation is offering its always popular “Love is in the Air” promotion where guests receive up to $500 credit when vacationing at this intimate and romantic resort.  This year Nisbet will add to the love by giving guests a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

Guests who stay seven nights at Nisbet Plantation receive a $500 credit upon checkout.  For shorter stays, Nisbet offers savings as well.  Stays of six nights save $400, and five nights, $300.

“’Love Is in the Air’ has always been one of the most popular promotions Nisbet offers, and this year, given the economy, we believe it will be bigger than ever,” said Jamie Holmes, general manager at Nisbet.  “While we cater to a more affluent traveler, our guests are still looking for a good value to extend their vacation dollar.  This is an excellent way to do just that while enjoying one of the top hotels in the Caribbean.”

“Love is in the Air" celebrates Nisbet Plantation's 2008 ranking as the #1 Luxury Resort in the Caribbean according to TripAdvisor as well as a plethora of distinguished awards including being named one of the "Top 10 Romantic Caribbean Resorts" by TheKnot.com, the world's premier wedding and honeymoon Web site.  Condé Nast Traveler named Nisbet Best in Service in the Caribbean on its 2009 Gold List.

Nisbet is the only historic plantation inn located directly on the beach.  With just 36 cottage-style accommodations spread over 30 acres, Nisbet provides the setting for a private retreat with loved ones.  AAA has again awarded Nisbet two Four Diamond ratings for both the resort and the Great House dining.

“Couples can relax at our intimate beach resort on the tiny island of Nevis.  Our exceptional staff will pamper them providing the ultimate in hospitality,” says Nisbet General Manager Jamie Holmes.  A typical day might include time enjoying the beach, a dip in the pool, treatments at The Palms Spa and afternoon tea before an evening of fine dining in the 1778 Great House.

This special offer will be available April 1-May 31 on all room categories, even Upper Premier Junior Suites overlooking the beach.

For reservations and information, visit www.NisbetPlantation.com, or call toll-free 800-742-6008 in the US and Canada or the hotel directly at 869-469-9325.

About Nisbet Plantation

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club is the Caribbean’s only deluxe plantation inn located directly on the beach.  It is also one of the Caribbean’s historic sugar plantations and the ancestral home of Fanny Nisbet, the loving and ever-faithful wife of Britain's most famous naval hero — Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson.

The plantation’s beautifully-restored Great House, which dates from 1778, and 36 charming cottages all with modern conveniences are set in 30 acres of tropical foliage.

Nisbet Plantation was named the Best in Service in the Caribbean on the Condé Nast 2009 Gold List. Also, Nisbet was ranked the #1 Luxury Resort in the Caribbean and Latin America and #6 in the World in the 2008 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards.  Condé Nast Traveler’s readers rank Nisbet in the top 3 of all Caribbean resorts.  From AAA, Nisbet has garnered two 4-Diamond Awards — one for the hotel and one for the Great House dining room — one of only three air-conditioned dining venues on Nevis. If customer satisfaction is the key measure of the quality experience a guest receives, then it is important to note that Nisbet Plantation is one of the Top 10 Caribbean hotels based on reviews posted on TripAdvisor.com and one of only a handful of hotels to receive a perfect 5.0 Rating.

About Nevis

This 36-square-mile Caribbean island lies near the top of the Lesser Antilles archipelago, about 200 miles south of Puerto Rico, and just west of Antigua. This island jewel is approximately 7 miles long and 5 miles wide, with natural vegetation that is unparalleled. Nevis is one of the remaining unspoiled places on earth.  From the top of the 3,232-foot Nevis Peak created by the only shield volcano in the Caribbean, to the depths of the clear waters offshore, there is a world of flora and fauna to be explored.
