Parks, Pubs and Poets

Discover Ireland’s five national parks on a 12-day tour, July 11-22, that also features the lives of Ireland’s literary giants and that staple of Irish culture - the pub. 

Explore Killarney, Connemara, Burren, Glenveagh and Wicklow National Parks while learning about Yeats, Joyce, Wilde, Shaw, Beckett and more. Meet locals and hear traditional Irish music in Irleand’s favorite pubs.  

Tour director is Kent Taylor, founder and director of the National Park Society, author and former park ranger. Kent is an Ireland expert and has walked 500 miles of Irish backroads in search of off-the-beaten path treasures.
