LITERATURE LOVERS CAN STROLL BACK TO A SIMPLER TIME WITH A WAYFARERS’ WALKING VACATION IN THE UK’S BRONTË COUNTRY

03-20-2009

Book by April 30 for discount of $800 per couple

Newport, Rhode Island, March 2009 – For six days in June, July or September, The Wayfarers walkers can enjoy a culturally enriching sojourn along The Brontë Trail, an area eloquently described by Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë more than a century ago.  The Victorian and Gothic spirit of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights seems to follow walkers as they explore Yorkshire’s Haworth Village, where the Brontë sisters lived and nurtured their creativity.  Spectacular views of ruined farmhouses, picturesque valleys, and remote plains add further inspiration.  The itinerary includes a visit to the Brontë’s childhood home, The Parsonage, with an enlightening pre-dinner talk by Brontë expert Ann Dinsdale.  Beginning in Haworth and ending in Chatsworth, the Walk is priced at $3,695 per person (before discount), based on double occupancy.  Book by April 30 to receive a discount of $800 per couple, or $400 per person.
