Sophisticated 'Last Friday' Evenings Worthy of Maharajahs



BOSTON, MA (March 20, 2009)
- Due to its popularity, the Bollywood Nights series at Taj Boston has been extended through November 2009. Held on the last Friday of the month, this is an Indian evening of dinner and dancing inspired by cultural traditions of the hotel's 105-year old parent, Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces.

The ballroom is transformed into a palace salon where East meets West with exotic lighting and décor, jewel-toned draperies, silk pillows, mood-enhancing candles, Bollywood clips on screens, and dancing to international selections by a DJ.

Highlights include:

  • A choice of classic Indian culinary delights or Indian fusion cuisine from an artistic buffet, created by Chef Prabeen Prathapan, celebrated for his presentations of chicken and vegetarian kebabs, Pav Bhaji and Pani Puri and a light buffet of biryani, lentil, naan, cocktail masala wada and samosa
  • A cash bar featuring classic cocktails, Champagne, wines and signature Taj Palace Cocktails such as the Hyderabad Silver Martini, Jaipur Rose Martini and Jodhpur Blue Martini; Thandai and Cardamom tea are also available
  • Offered 7:30 p.m. to midnight on the last Friday of the month: April 24, May 29, June 26, July 31, August 28, September 25, October 30 and November 27
  • $45 per person including tax and gratuities
