BB RIVERBOAT CRUISES ON THE OHIO RIVER

04-14-2009

BB Riverboats is announcing an exciting new cruise for the fall of 2009.  BB Riverboats’ Belle of Cincinnati will be cruising from Cincinnati, OH to Pittsburgh, PA on a 5-day, 4-night cruise.  Captain Alan Bernstein, owner of BB Riverboats, says, “This trip should be a great trip since it covers the upper half of the beautiful Ohio River.  Guests will get to see parts of the river that not many people get to see.”

This cruise departs Cincinnati on October 29th and ends on November 1st arriving in downtown Pittsburgh at PNC Park at dusk.  The guests will then spend one final night in a hotel before heading back to Cincinnati by bus on November 2nd.  Captain Bernstein says, “There are not many cities that you come into from the river that have as incredible of a sight that downtown Pittsburgh provides.  The fountain, the buildings, and the stadiums are spectacular”. The cruise includes all your meals, shore stops, bus transportation, and hotel accommodations since the boat is not designed for overnight passengers. The only other expenses are any drinks you have on board and any souvenirs you may buy at one of the shore stops.

The Belle of Cincinnati is a 4-deck sternwheeler that is licensed to carry 1000 passengers, although on the overnight cruises they only take a maximum of 200 passengers to maximize room for activities and comfort.  The outside decks (weather permitting) have lounge chairs, games, and fantastic viewing for wildlife such as birds, deer, otters, and the occasional eagle.  The interior will be set up comfortably for all meals, plus there will be a theatre area, a library, and activity area.

The itinerary includes stops in some of the great small river towns like Augusta, KY, Manchester, OH, Huntington, WV, Blennerhasset Island, WV, Parkersburg, WV, Marietta, OH, and Steubenville, OH.  The daytime cruising itinerary is also impressive. You will go through several locks and dams, pass numerous islands, and a ton of opportunities to see the beautiful scenic areas of the upper Ohio River.

There will also be a return trip from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati departing on November 3rd and arriving in Cincinnati on November 6th.  Guests will be transported back to Pittsburgh by bus on November 7th.  The itineraries, a picture of the boat, and our logo are enclosed.  Please contact Ben Bernstein at BB Riverboats for any further questions.
