Why is The Kahala perfect for kids? Highlights of the resort's most family-friendly activities include:

The Kids Pack includes: an activity kit, stickers and markers, stuffed Kahala dolphin, hat, and a Hawaiian Go Fish card game - all in a custom waterproof Kahala knapsack.
  • Welcome Amenities - Children up to four years old will get a kick out of Wiggles the Worm during bath time (he actually resides on your bathtub spout for the length of your stay). Keiki ages five to 10 will receive a Kahala dolphin or honu (sea turtle) stuffed animal to nestle with (both are reminiscent of the Kahala's own resident marine animals). Kids ages 11-17 will be treated to homemade chocolate chip and oatmeal cranberry cookies upon check-in.

Complimentary beach chairs and towels are available, and Kahala Beach Butlers are always on hand to offer cold towels and cool mist services. Complimentary Surfing 101 and stand up paddleboarding classes are available daily. For a fee, Keawe Adventures offer snorkel and spear fishing tours at The Kahala's beach Thursday through Monday, and canoe surfing tours on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Pool activities - Aaron's Dive Shop offers complimentary introductory scuba lessons poolside every Saturday and Sunday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Kahala's full service Pool Desk has sunscreen, protective eye wear, cover-ups, hats, magazines, and CD players. For those needing to stay connected, wireless internet is accessible from both the pool and beach. For keiki, poolside entertainment (face painting, magician, balloon maker, tattoo artist) will be available in the summer.
  • Keiki Club - Keiki staying at The Kahala have their very own Keiki Club. Perfect for five to 12 year olds, kids can learn about the Hawaiian Islands in a fun-filled environment. Kahala kids activities include reef walking, snorkeling, legend storytelling, bamboo pole fishing, lei making, hula dancing, crabbing and observing Hawaiian marine life and Hawaiian art. Half-day and full day programs are available.
  • Dolphin Quest - Learn about The Kahala's six Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins in an up-close and personal encounter with these lovable creatures in the hotel's 26,000 sq.ft. natural lagoon. Programs for children include multi-sensory activities, viewing Hawaii reef fish and other animals, and encounters with the dolphins.
