New England Offers Families Summer Fun for Every Budget

 

 

North Hampton, NH (May 4, 2009) - Families all across America might be feeling the pinch of the economic downturn, but the good news is they are still planning to go on vacation!  Even if pricey summer camps are off the table for kids this summer, families are not willing to sacrifice their annual summer getaway and New England remains a top destination for parents and kids this summer.  Whether it's kid's camps, exciting water and amusement parks, exploring nature or general adventure seeking - the New England Inns and Resorts Association has 14 different family-oriented packages to choose from - at resorts all over the New England region.  Not only do these packages offer terrific activities to keep everyone happy, they also offer great value-for-the-money, something parents are sure to be looking for when they make their vacation plans this summer.

The New England Inns and Resorts Association is comprised of nearly 300 of the finest inns, resorts, hotels, and B&Bs in the region, with a wide range of accommodations to satisfy every visitor.  The Family Vacation offerings vary by property, and visitors can find the getaway that suit them best by visiting www.NewEnglandInnsandResorts.com.  Sample packages include:

 

  • Story Land Water Park Package (Red Jacket Resorts Mountain View,North Conway,NH) - Includes two nights lodging in deluxe accommodations, breakfast daily (tip included), 1 ticket per person to Story Land Amusement Park and 1 ticket per person to Kahuna Laguna, a new 40,000 square foot, indoor water park.  Children under two are free. Available June 11 - October 11, 2009.  Package rates ranges from  $634.00 - $714.00 depending on the dates, and are for two adults and two children.  Taxes are not included.

 

  • Hit It Out of the Park Camp and Vacation (The Lighthouse Inn,West Dennis, MA) - This package combines camp and the family vacation.  Includes five nights accommodations, breakfast daily, three dinners (including the Tuesday night poolside cookout), daily baseball camp taught by the future stars of the MLB (Mon-Fri, 9:00am-11:30am) and all taxes and service charges.  Available most weeks from June 22nd - August 3rd.  The package is $2,903.97 for two adults and two children.

 

  • Family Fun Package (Mountain Top Inn & Resort, Chittenden, VT) - Includes three nights accommodations in a Classic Lodge Room, hearty Vermont breakfast daily, one day of kids camp per child, two one-hour massages for the adults, a pontoon boat ride for the family and use of all resort facilities like kayaking and tennis.  The price for this package is $1,150 for a family of three or $1,395 for a family of four and includes all taxes and resort charges.  Stay Sunday-Thursday nights and receive an additional 20% off!  Valid June 1- August 31, 2009.

 

  • Kids Stay and Eat FREE (Indian Head Resort, Lincoln, NH) - Families with kids 12 and under will save up to $60 per day, as one child for each adult on the meal plan will eat totally free (meal plan is $30 per person).  Meal plan includes full breakfast and dinner daily.  Resort activities include indoor and outdoor pools, boating and stocked trout fishing on Shadow Lake, nightly entertainment and supervised kids activities, tennis, game rooms, bike trails and more.  Rates start at $99 per night for cottages and $139 per night for motel rooms.  Rates are for two people, kids under 12 stay free.  Good through end of August.
