Mandarin Oriental, New York Announces Fantastic Father’s Day Offers for June

05-15-2009

NEW YORK, May 14, 2009 – Mandarin Oriental, New York cheers on Dads from around the world with fabulous experiences throughout the month of June to celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, June 21.

Taste of Vintage Cognac

What better way to treat Dad than with a special night at Mandarin Oriental, New York and a one-of-a-kind Cognac tasting of a three-pour flight that includes two rare, vintage-dated cognacs?

The first cognac pour, made exclusively from grapes grown in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac, is Delamain Pale & Dry XO, which is aged in well-seasoned Limousin oak casks to create a delicate flavor and naturally pale color. This is followed by a P. Frapin Vintage 1983, produced in the famous Château Fontpinot in Segonzac, and contains notes of white flowers, vanilla and dried fruits with a round and generous palate. The tastings grand finale is a pour of Hine Vintage 1975, a robust masculine cognac, made by the house of Hine, the pioneer of vintage cognacs.

The Taste of Vintage Cognac package, priced from USD 670 (exclusive of taxes and gratuities), includes one nights’ accommodation, and a flight of three cognac pours accompanied by a chocolate truffle assortment. The Taste of Vintage Cognac is available in restaurant Asiate, the Lobby Lounge and MOBar. Advance reservations are recommended. Guests not staying at the hotel can enjoy the Taste of Vintage Cognac experience, which is priced at USD 75 per person.
