Singles Travel International Introduces Wine Lovers Cruise on the Danube This Summer!

05-20-2009

BOCA RATON, FL (May 19, 2009) – Singles Travel International offers the ultimate in singles travel this summer with an intimate, luxurious cruise down the Danube River that wine lovers will savor!  Tour the Danube River region plus Budapest and Prague this summer aboard a river vessel that provides cruisers “up close and personal” access not only to the most famous historic sites, but also the smaller towns and villages along the way. Single Travel International’s unique cruise is accompanied by a distinguished wine authority, who will share insights to Europe’s most famous wines, in particular, the wines of Hungary, Germany and Austria. This 7-night cruise, from July 12 to 19, 2009, starts at $1,499 and has a single supplement of only $600 (low single supplement rate!).

Singles will cruise upriver to Austria where many of Europe’s most delectable wines are produced.  Included is a visit to the tranquil Wachau Valley, home to the famous Eis Wein, a sweet dessert wine from grapes that are not picked until after the first frost.  A special dinner is offered one evening, where the cruise’s wine expert will provide special wine pairings for each course and a history of each. Germany’s famous Riesling wines will be closely scrutinized—and tasted, of course!

The Danube cruise leaves Budapest and travels to Nuremberg, stopping in Vienna, Durnstein, Melk, Passau, and Regensburg, plus an optional three nights in Prague.  Other highlights include St Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, the magnificent Benedictine Abbey in the heart of the Wachau wine valley, and a special winemaker’s dinner.  Options include a Hungarian dinner with folklore show, a visit to a Hungarian equestrian farm, a visit to Vienna’s Opera House and Hofburg Palace, a wonderful Dvorak chamber music concert, and the Fortress of Theresienstadt in Prague.  An optional stay in Budapest offers the chance to learn about Hungary’s famous Tokaji wines.

With STI, singles never dine alone; all meals are included on the cruise and shared with other singles.  Complimentary wine from Europe’s most famous wine regions is included with every dinner on the cruise.  Singles Travel International also includes a wide variety of optional excursions.
