Expanding Value Card Program Deals Visitors Full House of Savings on Amelia Island

AMELIA ISLAND (June 11, 2009) - Florida's Amelia Island is expanding its popular new Value Card program, offering visitors a wide range of discounts and incentives at more than 30 of the island's most popular shops, restaurants and attractions.  The Amelia Island Value Card is offered to guests upon check-in at any of the island's collection of upscale resorts, historic bed and breakfast inns, condominiums and hotels.  Visitors can find a list of participating Value Card vendors at each hotel and online at www.ameliaisland.com, where they can also view a list of available discounts.  Visitors can print out coupons from the site to present with their card or simply look for the Value Card sign displayed at participating retailers.

"Since the program began in May, we've seen a growing interest from visitors and our local businesses alike," said Gil Langley, President and CEO of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau.  "As they explore the shops and restaurants around the island, I suspect our visitors will begin seeing the Value Card sign more frequently."

Visitors using the Value Card can enjoy a complimentary Smoked Fish Dip appetizer with purchase of dinner at The Crab Trap, 10 percent discount at the Marina Seafood Restaurant, $1 off admission to the Amelia Museum of History, 10 percent off any daily or weekly rental at Beach Rentals and More, 15 percent off non sale items at Last Flight out and much more.
