The 6-night trip includes 4 nights at Fattoria degli Usignoli, which was originally built in the 14th-century by the monks of Vallombrosa. From its Tuscan countryside setting amid olive groves, vineyards, and cypress trees, the cities of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca, and Arezzo are easily accessible for exploring the region's vineyards, visiting the many cultural, artistic, and historical sights, or simply relaxing, and taking in the country charm, delicious food and stunning scenery of Tuscany.
Next it’s on to Venice, perhaps Italy’s most enchanting city, for two nights at the Hotel Plaza Mestre. The hotel's quiet location is away from the crowds, but still offers convenient and easy access to Venice's sumptuous palaces, magnificent architecture, romantic waterways and of course the famous gondolas.
Dooley Vacations’ Tuscany & Taste of Venice package is priced from $699 per person, based on four people traveling. The package includes:
- Round-trip economy class airfare from NYC or Newark to Florence and return from Venice to NYC or Newark (other departure cities are available at higher rate)
- Four nights accommodation at Fattoria degli Usignoli
- Two nights accommodation at the Hotel Plaza Mestre (including breakfasts)
- Manual Shift Car Rental for the week
Rates for this package start from $699 per person, based on four people traveling from New York City on select travel dates between November 2, 2009 to March 21, 2010. Travel in September, October and certain holiday periods including: November 21-28, February 14-21 and December 16 to January 6 are available at slightly higher rates. Black out dates apply from September 5-7, 9-10 and 20-28.
