National Museum of Cinema: Cannes Cinema: 50 year anniversary festival – June 16 – August 20, 2009.

The Cannes Film Festival – one of the most distinguished film festivals in the world – will be celebrated at the National Museum of Cinema in Turin.   The works of the Traverso photographers will display snapshots of movie stars which show fifty years of cinematic history. Laghi Jazz Festival – August 28 – September 5, 2009

For travelers who enjoy jazz music will enjoy the musical talents of artists including Agharta, The doctors in Jazz, Floating Band, Alessandro Chiappetta Quartet, Savannah Serenaders, Quintetto Nordeste, René Utreger trio, Louis “Luigi” Trussardi, Charles “Lolo” Bellonzi, and Dado Moroni trio. The jazz festival will be held at the Piazza Conte Rosso in Avilgliana and will also feature special guests Harry Allen and Gianni Basso, Tom Harrell, Darryl Hall, Dado Moroni, Gianni Basso and the New Yorker Alvin Queen. Glenn Brown – May 28 to October 4, 2009

The exhibition of works by Glenn Brown (London, 1966), organized in collaboration with the Liverpool Tate Gallery, presents paintings by the British artist, who was a finalist for the Turner Prize in 2000. Glenn Brown made a significant contribution to international contemporary art, particularly in the field of painting, through his works that synthesize the classical and the contemporary, ranging from the academic field to the field of popular culture.
