Romance in The Beach Cottages at Turtle Bay Resort

The Beach Cottages at Turtle Bay Resort, 42 beachfront cottages, are elegantly appointed private oases with lanais facing the ocean. Grouped in clusters of six, the Cottages, all with prime oceanfront views, reflect the creative hand of renowned Los Angeles designer Michael Smith.

The Cottages are handsomely dressed in imperial yellow with copper flashing and rain caches on the outside. Upon entry, the polished Brazilian walnut floors lead to a large, multi-level beach retreat with 15-foot ceilings and king poster beds. A mini bar, teak chairs and lanai with large glass doors overlook the Pacific sands. For rinsing and cleansing from a day in the ocean, The Cottages are equipped with large marble bathrooms with Kallista deep-soak tubs fit for two and freestanding glass showers. Some cottages are also available as adjoining rooms with both king and double beds for families.

Dining

Romance can be shared during intimate candlelight dining in 21 Degrees North, where the chef prepares contemporary island cuisine. Ola, located just steps away from the beach, also offers casual outdoor dining. For the privacy of in-room dining, couples may enjoy the private balcony overlooking one of Turtle Bay’s two beaches.

Activities for Couples

Activities for couples abound—horseback riding at the resort’s private stables; lounging at the swimming pools or on the calm beach; snorkeling; 12 miles of trail walking; spa treatments, including massages for couples; tennis; world-class golf; North Shore and waterfall aerial tours by Paradise Helicopters; and five miles of beachfront where there is scarcely a footprint in the sand. And, of course, there is the legendary surfing of Oahu’s North Shore. Couples may enjoy the sport as observers from afar or jump right in and take a lesson for two from the famous Hans Hedemann Surf School, located on the resort.

Turtle Bay Resort is the only full-scale resort on Oahu’s exciting North Shore, home of world-famous surfing, remote coastlines and exciting activities.  The resort is located on a promontory offering wide vistas of the ocean from every room.

Turtle Bay Resort offers world class golf and tennis, spa treatments, riding stables with ocean and trail riding, two lushly landscaped oceanside pools, seaside dining, North Shore and waterfall aerial tours by Paradise Helicopters, and 12 miles of walking and jogging trails along spectacular coastlines and through forested lands.

In addition, the Resort is home to the famous Hans Hedemann Surf School where guests can get a taste of the world’s best surf.
